CONTEMPORARY LAHU (MUSUR) SILVER BANGLE – THAI–MYANMAR BORDER REGION

This contemporary silver bangle apparently in Hmong and Mien style , hand crafted by Lahu Silversmith (known in Thailand as Musur), an ethnic group traditionally inhabiting the highland regions along the northern Thailand–Myanmar border. Such bangles are commonly worn as everyday adornment and cultural identifiers, reflecting long-standing regional silversmithing traditions, and it is not uncommon that designs from certain group will be used, traded, crafted and warn by different tribes groups.

The bangle is handcrafted in a solid, open cuff form, displaying clean lines and balanced proportions typical of Lahu silver jewelry. While the silver content has not yet been tested, the weight, surface finish, and workmanship are consistent with locally produced tribal silver alloys traded in border markets.

Offered in new and unused condition, this piece remains fully intact and wearable. Its substantial weight and restrained design make it suitable both as a wearable statement piece and as a collectible example of contemporary ethnic silverwork.

Bought from Musur Local silversmith in a border town area, near the Burma - Thai Border, its is authentic for the tribes use, and did not crafted for tourists trade, which makes it more valuable, unique & rare.
