PAIR OF ORIGINAL HIGH-SILVER HMONG HILL-TRIBE EARRINGS – FLOWER-ADORNED HOOK FORM
GOLDEN TRIANGLE (LAOS – THAILAND – MYANMAR) – EARLY 20TH CENTURY

A genuine pair of hand-fabricated high-silver earrings from Hmong hill-tribe communities of the Golden Triangle region, dating to the first half of the 20th century. The distinctive hook-shaped form, combined with applied floral elements, reflects traditional Hmong silversmithing—where jewelry served as both personal adornment and a visible indicator of cultural identity, status, and craftsmanship.

The design integrates sculptural floral terminals with a functional hook profile, allowing secure wear while maintaining visual balance. Subtle irregularities and tool marks confirm traditional handwork, typical of village-based silver production across Laos, northern Thailand, and Myanmar.

The surface shows a natural aged patina consistent with authentic period use. One small silver ball element is missing from a floral cluster on one earring; this is minor and does not affect structural integrity or wearability. The pair remains fully intact, stable, and suitable for both wear and collection.

Such pieces were commonly worn in daily life and ceremonial contexts, and today are increasingly sought after within ethnographic and tribal jewelry markets for their material quality and cultural significance.
